Chemical Resistance Film

GME Bio is widely recognized as a specialist in the installation of chemical-resistant films for GMP facilities. With extensive experience from numerous projects, we have encountered and addressed several cases of panel damage post-sterilization. In particular, when using hydrogen peroxide for space sterilization, it is crucial to meticulously inspect the condition of the panels and carefully control the concentration(Injection Rate), diffusion direction, and gassing time to minimize unnecessary damage to the material.

In typical GMP facility panel coatings (excluding fluorine coatings 3COAT and 4COAT), there are often more than 30% voids that are invisible to the human eye. These voids can trigger chemical reactions when chemicals are used, due to catalysts or enzymes. Hydrogen peroxide, known for its strong acidity and corrosiveness, can penetrate the surface of the coating and cause delamination, regardless of the sterilization method (PVHP, mist, plasma, vibrating mist) and concentration (6-35%).

If panels are damaged or at risk of damage due to hydrogen peroxide sterilization, GME Bio’s chemical-resistant film is the only solution. In cases where the coating is severely damaged due to sterilization, GME Bio utilizes specialized equipment to smooth the surface before applying the film, ensuring that no step is left on the coating surface. Leveraging the extensive knowledge gained from numerous projects, GME Bio is committed to providing flawless installation.
